Church of St Paraskeva in Saatse

Built: 1801

Built in 1801. One of the oldest Orthodox churches in rural areas in Estonia. Traditional, classicist. An elongated white brick building with a Latin cross layout and bell tower. Three steeples. Raised window decorations on classicist facades and arched lintels, cornices, corner pilasters on the bell tower, winged door with a grid window. Three-tier iconostasis with rich décor. Simple and balanced interior architecture is balanced by large wall paintings.
