Mõisaküla Lutheran Church

Heki 3, Mõisaküla, Viljandimaa

Built: 1934

One of the most beautiful 20th century churches in Estonia (architect Alar Kotli). The church burnt down on 30 April 1983, but the altar painting „Save me, Lord!“ was saved from the fire (Richard Kivit, 1936). The reconstruction of the spacious wooden building was begun in 1995; the vestry, which was finished first and used as a church hall, was consecrated in 2000.
