It is a modern church with an interesting architecture (achitect Pavel Grigorjev is from Ivangorod). The church is called after the Mother of God icon which was delivered from fire in 1558 in Narva in the beginning of the Livonian War. The icon was kept in Orthodox Church of Slumbering Mother of God in Ivangorod and probably was destroyed in 1944 when Narva was demolished.
